| Exist very careful using chemicals on this, some plastics react poorly to even unproblematic cleaning chemicals. Don't even try Windex until you know for certain. Here is a link that tells how to clean and restore a Plexiglass window on a Corvette. You lot basically sand it. tinyurl.com/bl4d6 Some other identify to cheque would exist aircraft supply houses, many planes take expensive plexiglass and they utilise different things to go along them clear. | I have an NC Plexifairing that was pretty well scratched up when a dimwitted relative decided the bugs would come up off better with 1 of those plastic scouring pads used to clean teflon coated pots and pans. Fortunately, they are very fine scratches. They wait horrible and brand the view cloudy when untreated, simply a good coating of Pledge actually clears it up pretty well. When the Pledge wears off afterward a few weeks, the cloudiness returns. If the windshield is cloudy because it was left out in the sun (UV damage), there'due south nothing you can exercise virtually it. |

| I mixed glycerin and water about 50/l and rubbed it on the windshield. It didn't help - but my windshield has 47k miles on it and is pretty nasty. Oh well.. |

| Lemon pledge works swell on UH-60 Blackhawk side windows, but every bit some other posted, y'all accept to reapply almost every week or then. Nosotros have tried Meguires, a actually expensive spot repair product from Aviall, and a few other products simply lemon (or state flower) pledge works the best. |

We have tried Meguires, a actually expensive spot repair product from Aviall, and a few other products simply lemon (or country flower) pledge works the best. Once or twice a yr, I polish the fine scratches out of the Lexan with either Harley Glaze (hey, I go it for complimentary..) or Blue Magic Plexiglass Cleaner. 3M Glazing Compound, aforementioned-same. Glazing compounds and plexiglass cleaners are pretty much the same affair - ultra fine polishing compounds - very fine annoying grit, a titch of coloring and water. Likewise known as "swirl removers". Some of the glitzy brands like "Colour Back" sold at places like Machine Zone also add perfumes, and that's a potential trouble spot. Might do well to open the bottle (if possible) and take a sniff. And so, I utilise Lemon Pledge too. Skilful stuff. |

| Even if this production doesn't clear up your scratches (only I bet it volition) yous gotta give Plexus a try. It was originally formulated for fighter cockpit windows simply works EXTREMELY well on windscreens and face shields. I've had the same face shield for 4 years at present and I'one thousand not even close to thinking well-nigh buying a new one. Yous can usually find this at meliorate wheel shops or at Dennis Kirk, etc. Jim |
